On April 1, the Company held its entrance ceremony for employees joining in fiscal year 2026, at which President Hidechika Saito delivered the following address to 45 new employees.

Good morning, everyone.
I am Saito, President of Mitsubishi Logistics Corporation.

Today, we are delighted to welcome 45 new colleagues to our Group.  We have truly been looking forward to this day, and I would like to extend my sincere congratulations to each of you on joining Mitsubishi Logistics.

Today marks an important milestone, as you take your first step as working professionals.  On this occasion, I would like to share three messages with you.

First, I would like to speak about the purpose of the Mitsubishi Logistics Group.
A purpose expresses the fundamental reason why a company exists and the value it seeks to create for society.  Our Group Purpose is: “Supporting Today, Innovating Tomorrow.”
The first part, “Supporting Today,” represents our social mission.  Through our logistics and real estate businesses, we support the foundations of society, which lies at the core of our corporate activities.
At the same time, in a world of rapid change, what society expects us to support as “today” is constantly evolving.  Simply continuing existing practices is not sufficient to fulfill that role.
“Innovating Tomorrow,” the second part of our purpose, expresses our commitment to continually challenge the future by creating what does not yet exist and transforming it into something society cannot do without.
Since our founding in 1887, Mitsubishi Logistics has overcome numerous challenges, including natural disasters and periods of social upheaval.
Over the past 139 years, we have continually responded to societal needs, expanding our business from warehousing, our original core business, to harbor transportation, international transportation, and real estate.
Throughout this history, we have pursued many pioneering initiatives, including Japan’s first self-storage business, early expansion into international transportation, data-center-ready buildings, the development of commercial facilities such as Kobe Harborland and Yokohama Bay Quarter, and pharmaceutical logistics services.
Our purpose, “Supporting Today, Innovating Tomorrow,” embodies both the pride we have cultivated in supporting social infrastructure over many years and our determination to continue challenging the future.
I encourage each of you to keep this purpose in mind as you engage in your work.

Next, closely related to our purpose, I hope that each of you will actively take on challenges, experience failures, and learn from them.
The methods you are taught at work may not always be the best possible approach. When you question why things are done a certain way or consider alternative solutions, you open the door to improvement and change. Even small, continuous efforts to make things better can lead to significant transformation over time.
As you take on challenges, there will inevitably be setbacks.  What matters is not avoiding failure, but learning from it and applying those lessons to future success.
The senior colleagues who are here today have all experienced many successes, and just as many failures. When you make mistakes, your managers and senior colleagues will support you and guide you so that you do not repeat the same mistakes.
Please do not hesitate to take on challenges, make mistakes, and learn from them. And when you eventually have junior colleagues of your own, I ask that you guide them so they can avoid the same mistakes.
Each challenge you undertake, no matter how small, contributes to shaping the future of the Mitsubishi Logistics Group.  I encourage you to play an active role in driving innovation within our organization.

Finally, I would like to touch on our management plan.
Last year, the Mitsubishi Logistics Group formulated a new management plan covering fiscal years 2025 through 2030.  The plan sets forth five growth strategies, including the expansion of overseas businesses and the improvement of business processes and creation of new businesses through the use of advanced technologies.
By maximizing the potential of our people—our most important capital—together with other Group assets, we are advancing initiatives for transformation and sustainable growth.
In Japan, we have decided to redevelop a company-owned warehouse in Hiratsuka City, Kanagawa Prefecture, into a multi-tenant logistics facility.
We have also launched a grid-scale battery storage business to help balance power supply and demand. Drawing on the power infrastructure and operational know-how we have built through our data-center-ready buildings, we aim to contribute to addressing energy challenges.
Overseas, we are developing a logistics facility near Bangkok, Thailand, through a joint venture with a local developer.  In the United States, we have participated in a rental residential property project in Texas.  These projects utilize asset-rotation business models and represent our first overseas real estate development initiatives.
In India, we have established a local subsidiary and commenced operations, strengthening our logistics service platform in the country.
As you can see, we are actively and continuously challenging ourselves to innovate for the future.
We are truly delighted to welcome you as colleagues who will walk together with us toward that future.  Let us work together to create the next “today” for society.

As you begin your professional journey, I hope that through your work you will grow as individuals, contribute to the growth of Mitsubishi Logistics, and ultimately become a driving force that supports society.

Once again, congratulations on joining Mitsubishi Logistics.

Thank you.
